These are a few of my favorite things around our home:

a bird print by Geninne Zlatkis that I bought from Urban Outfitters, I suppose I could have bought it from her Etsy Shop, but I just adored the frame that came with it; a Bird Chirping Weather print by Katie Daisy purchased from her Etsy shop; the Ryan Berkley Ensemble which I embroidered last year;

Ryan Berkley art prints

I also couldn’t resist buying more Ryan Berkley animal portraits (5×7) to add to my collection, they live very happily on the mantel in our family room;

patchwork cushion covers

a pair of quilted patchwork cushion covers that I made with 3″ squares of fabric;

triangle square patchwork blanket

the patchwork blanket that my mother made out of old clothes and fabric scraps, a wonderful and beautiful kaleidoscope or colors;

Guan yin

an elegant statue of Guanyin, also known as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, that stands gracefully in an alcove which we have in our hallway upstairs – my husband inherited this very lovely Guanyin from his Grandfather, who was the kindest, sweetest and most generous gentleman. My mother also has a statue of Guanyin in her home so seeing this is a reminder of her as well;

lantana

lantana, even though it is considered a weed in some parts of the world, I love how it has continually bloomed and flourished all through summer despite the scorching heat we have had and it looks like it will continue to flower for a few more weeks yet – it sure adds a spot of eye-catching color to our front yard!
