Happy 2012!! My new year’s resolution is to do more painting this year, so here it is, introducing the first in a series of Nursery Art Prints that I am doing to add to my Etsy shop. It is available as an 8×10 and 11×14 print.
This woodland themed picture is my version of the “Tree of Life” and is done mainly in watercolor plus a whole tree of individually cut fabric leaves – yes, I cut each and every one of those leaves out of my ever growing pile of fabric scraps and glued them strategically into place!
Now, also available as an instant digital download printable! You won’t receive a physical item when buying a printable, instead you download the high resolution (300dpi) digital files which you then print at home or take to a print shop (such as Staples or Kinkos) or upload online (such as Shutterfly.com). Printables also allow you to resize the pictures to suit the frame or wall you have in mind and you can print as many as you like for yourself or give them as gifts.
Some leftover remnants of the fabric leaves. I ironed on some interfacing before I cut out the shapes I wanted.
